Polyccio takes day two in Jerez

Surely is Espargaro continues this form nobody can stop him in 2013?
Surely is Espargaro continues this form nobody can stop him in 2013?

In much better conditions than yesterday, Pol Espargaro posted the fasted lap of day two at Jerez during the Moto2 pre season test.

First thing in the morning fog hovered over the Spanish circuit, hampering anybodies chances of test, but the sun finally broke through and the riders were able to finish the second day of testing.

Pol Espargaro confirmed his title credentials as he claimed first position with a lap of 1’42″332, breaking Stefan Bradl’s 2011 (1’42″706) pole position record along the way.

Espargaro continues to impress in the testing sessions, and not over committing himself to wet sessions when all he can do it injure himself. His dry testing times are surely an ominous sign for the man than is apparently on Tech3’s radar.

Kalex is being proven the chassis to have pre season as the rest of the top three were all also Kalex machines.

Italtrans Racing Team’s Takaaki Nakagami was second, Marc VDS Racing’s Scott Redding third and Mapfre Aspar Team’s Julian Simon was in fourth position all on their Kalex machines.

Nicol Terol who topped the timesheets in the wet yesterday, and in Valencia could only manage a best of fifth position yesterday, nine tenths off Espargaro.
