Angel Nieto hospitalised in quad crash

Legendary World Champion Angel Nieto is said to have been in a serious accident whilst on a quad bike in Ibiza.

The ’12+1′ World Champion is reportedly in hospital after being involved in an incident whilst out on the Spanish island. According to Diario de Ibiza, the 70-year-old was rear ended by a car at around 10:30 this morning suffering a “strong blow to the head” and is in a “serious condition” this afternoon.

The Spaniard enjoyed a 22 year career spanning from 1964 to 1986 winning World Championships in three different classes.
