Alex Marquez focused ahead of final Moto3 race
Moto3 Championship leader Alex Marquez has said that his intention this weekend is to go out, and win, earning him the 2014 Moto3 World Championship.
The Spaniard, who currently sits eleven points ahead of Jack Miller, only needs to finish on the podium this weekend in order to claim the title, but he isn’t thinking about the top three, instead, just the top step.
“We will go there to try and win, as we have always done, but what matters is that we try to close out the title,” said Marquez who can expect the majority of fans to be supporting him come race day.
“The most important thing is that we’re leading in Valencia after a very difficult race in Malaysia, and we must stay focused as possible.”
“I’ll enjoy everything I can from my last race in the Moto3 class.”
Marquez has signed a deal for the the Marc VDS team in the Moto2 to race alongside defending Moto2 World Champion Tito Rabat.
