History of Sic exhibition opens
Today saw the opening of the “History of Sic” exhibition Coriano, Italy.
The exhibition has been arranged in three themed rooms in the Palace of Culture of the late rider’s hometown.
Coriano prepared itself for a “Sic” style party today as fans from over the world came to the opening of the “History of Sic” exhibition, which is a look back over Marco Simoncelli’s life beyond the photos and videos made available to the public.
Some of the pieces on show include his first ever race leathers, a San Carlo Honda Gresini pit box, and a paining dedicated to Sic by Rimini artist Davide Salvadei.
The thinking behind the exhibition was to bring together the world of two-wheel sport in the town’s Palace of Culture.
The rooms have been arranged by Marco’s friend (and the graphic designer of his & Rossi’s helmets) Aldo Drudi.
Some of the other work on display includes those of MotoGP official photographer Gigi Soldano, whose works can be seen in the corridors of the main entrance to the exhibition.
