2012 Moto3 World Champion on his Moto2 Bike

Sandro Cortese on his Kalex in Almeria

There is no rest for the wicked. 2012 Moto3 World Champion has been in Almeria testing his Moto2 Kalex for next season this week.

Sandro met up with his newly formed Intact Dynavolt GP team who will run the German in the 2013 championship aboard a Kalex chassis.

The World Champion completed 45 laps on his new bike with a best time of 1:42,7 just 0.4 seconds off 2010 champion Toni Elias, round the Spanish circuit. He told German magazine Speedweek “The first day went well, I felt better after each corner, every lap. The main thing was to know this bike of 600 cc. My confidence improved from lap to lap.’s very fun to work with this bike, even compared to Moto3.”

He added, “you need more power while riding, especially in changes of direction. Since last week I’ve uploaded my training to get stronger. Yet the bike is more stable under braking the Moto3 bike. In Moto3 and was riding with a different style to my rivals, lifting the bike before the departure of the curves to accelerate better. Course, for the Moto2 class, I will improve my driving style further. But overall I’m on the right track. Moto2 My first day was really successful. ”
