Luis Salom was the fastest rider in the final Moto3 pre season test at Jerez.

Salom topped the timesheets with a best lap of 1:46.374, which was two tenths of a second quicker than the absent Viñales, who is in Barcelona having just undergone surgery on his right ring finger.

Estrella Galicia 0’0’s duo Alex Rins and Alex Marquez were third and fourth fastest respectively  as they continued to improve and impress ahead of the season opener.

Aspar’s young German rider Jonas Folger was fastest on the first day, but ended the test fifth and the last rider to be within a second from Salom.

Mahindra Racing’s Miguel Oliveira was sixth position as the new Mahindra looks sensationally improved from the bike that Danny Webb was riding last year.

Ambrogio Racing’s Brad Binder followed in seventh position, and the first Honda rider in amongst KTM dominance.

Eric Granado, Niklas Ajo and Jakub Kornfeil closed out the top ten and the Czech rider was 1.480s off pace.
