Nico Antonelli has shoulder surgery

Italian Moto3 star Niccolò Antonelli has had surgery on his right shoulder following a training accident.

The injury may put the Gresini riders participation in the the first Moto3 tests scheduled for the 12th to the 14th of February in Valencia in jeopardy.

Antonelli revealed the news when on his facebook account with the following message.

“Hello everyone, I’m not used to revealing a lot of things about about me … But this time I have a reason to say something important. I would like to thank Carlo (Vale’s trainer) for helping me in a time of difficulty and especially Dr. Porcellini who with his special and valuable team first visited me and and then operated on my right shoulder after an incident that I had while I was training. It’s not easy to find such important people that are capable of being simple and warm.
