Dovi on Ducati
Andrea Dovizioso has taken the poison chalice of a factory Ducati for 2013, but he is under no illusions as to how difficult the task will be.
“I know that I’m not as fast as Casey,” Dovi said speaking to Speedweek. “So I have to find another way to be fast. I think a lot, I work out a lot, I look for opportunities where I can improve. ”
The Italian has only ever claimed one victory in MotoGP, that famous final race at Donington Park back in 2009. And in order to satisfy Ducati Corse he will need to take more than one.
During the recent Jerez test Dovi was restricted to just four laps after a shoulder problem kept him off the Desmosedici.
The 2004 125cc World Champion claimed six podiums in 2012 aboard the satellite M1 and finished fourth in the final standings, something he will hope to improve in 2013.
