Moto3 Update; Miller joins Ajo KTM; Rins staying put?

'Jack-ass' will be moving to Ajo Red Bull KTM for 2014.
‘Jack-ass’ will be moving to Ajo Red Bull KTM for 2014.

After wednesday’s announcement that Luis Salom and Maverick Viñales were going up to Moto2, a whole host of moves and changes were expected to be announced this weekend, and it appears they were the first domino in a line of many.

First up is Jack Miller, as we said on Wednesday has signed for the Ajo KTM team, and that was all made official today, replacing the outgoing Luis Salom after a season of extremely impressive performances on a under powered Honda.

“I am very happy to have signed for what is, in my opinion, the best team in Moto3: Red Bull KTM Ajo,” said the young Aussie.

“Joining this team will give me the opportunity to fight for the Moto3 title next season. I can’t wait to get started with this new adventure in my sporting career, and I am sure that there will be a good relationship developed with my new team – one which already exists.”

With two title rivals moving up Alex Rins will be odds on favourite to claim the 2014 crown, as it looks like he will stay in Moto3 whatever the outcome at the end of the season. Marc VDS were said to be very interested in taking Rins up to Moto2 alongside Tito Rabat.

It’s not just riders changing either, with news of Ambrogio changing from Honda to Mahindra, Honda have lost another customer in the shape of the Gresini squad, who today announced that they will be changing from Honda over to KTM for the 2014 season.
