Ciao Super Sic

Super Sic celebrates a podium in what turns out to be his final race

It has been one year since we were robbed of Marco Simoncelli when he was stolen from us one year ago today in Sepang.

The energetic 24 year old Italian was cruelly taken from family, team mates, friends and fans. And everybody remembers him with the fondest of memories since he was taken in Malaysia.

One of the last proper motorcycle racers loved to ruffle a few feathers on his way to the top and that’s why everybody loved him. He was a proper rider who liked to dive up the inside of a gap when one became available.
The paddock continues to remember ‘Super Sic’ with every passing day and every round. In Mugello they now have the two 58 grandstands on the outside of Arrabbiata 2. The Misano circuit changed it’s name to the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, and this was then proceeded with all the riders in the paddock cycling around the circuit, and on turn 11 in Sepang a Simoncelli memorial plaque has been placed and was presented in front of everybody in the paddock.
Its now been exactly one year since the horror incident, and whilst Marco may be gone, he will never ever be forgotten and is remembered by everybody, every day in the motorcycle world. Ciao Sic.
